the story of the young Mikel (Thor's Assassin) on his 28th year..when he fought the Great Serpent to rescue his beloved one Niobjorg from being sacrificed by the elders. the battle was ended with the help of Thor when he threw his hammer into the serpent body. From the downward spiral clowds, Lightning striking through the beast and striking through it..from the battle, mikel lost his brother & his legs..,The fight waged on and enabled Mikel to crawl to Niobjorg and release her, holding her as they watched. It would be their last moments together..

this Sea Serpent is a nice step away from atypical looking ones and I really the greenish tinge to the water versus it being blue

Surprisingly, I never commented on your posting of this masterpiece. Though I know you have seen my comments on my posting of it and through all of our long communications while developing it, I think you know I love it.

That being said, I wanna say it again because it's worth mentioning, this piece is the EXACT way I had described it when commissioning it. Definitely deserving of as many accolades as given to it. You captured the scene simply perfectly and I cannot tell you what a delight it was to go through the creation process with you. If I could afford it I would have you on my payroll brother lol.

Also the more I look at the sky in the piece, the happier I am that I never asked for Thor to be coming down or be depicted as coming down to the battle. It adds something to the piece that we wouldn't have known about had we went ahead and put him in there.

Congratulations on the DD as well my friend. Definitely fitting.
